A Texas man who allegedly threatened people outside the Hopkinsville Best Western early Sunday morning was arrested. The arrest citation for 34-year old Cordell McGregor of Baytown, Texas says officers were notified of a man threatening guests at the hotel with a pistol and HPD Chief Jason Newby arrived about 2:30 a.m. and witnessed McGregor threaten to shoot another man near his vehicle. Police say there was an odor of alcohol and marijuana coming from McGregor's person and a search of his vehicle allegedly revealed marijuana, drug paraphernalia and an open bottle of liquor.
